Abandoned warehouse

I'd like to say i found an abandoned warehouse, snuck in and found these things inside but realistically I went through the correct entrance, using a key and with the guidance of my dad who used to own it and use it for his set design studio. I took tonnes of photos which would take me forever to post but heres a selection.
Things I collected include: sun bleached photos, letraset catalogue with un-used sleeves, photo slides, office paperwork, matches, postcards, business cards, set design drawings and tracings.

A special present

On Tuesday I received an unexpected gift from artist Steve Mcpherson. I've blogged about him before and created a memory book which was inspired by his cartographic pieces. I love his work and after conversing a few times about my current project I received a signed, limited edition copy of his book sent to my college. It was such a nice gesture and one that many people probably wouldn't even consider doing.
Steve is currently doing a global depository project for images of found marine plastic washed up on beaches and embankments. If you have anything to contribute visit the website to get your photographs involved: http://www.marineplastic.org/

A series of ideas

Ideas in my sketchbook for FMP. For Some reason my works become really messy recently, i can't work out if this is a good or a bad thing.

"Going Further East" 2006

"Prodding times Arrow"

Came across these Journals By Gerard Lange. Its worth viewing them on a larger scale because there is so much detail to each page.
I wish I could work like this.

Newspaper dolls

I'm in the progress of designing and making newspaper dolls for my project. I want to make them much bigger and give them different profiles and labels with their name and own personal story. Here is my initial design and a scan of the basis of my doll.

Sketchbook collages

A few pages from my current sketchbook. Looking at artists for research and making my own collages involving found scraps of paper and other materials.
